Free Full Moon in Aries Ceremony

On September 26, 2026, we will gather under the Aries full moon, or the harvest moon. The harvest moon is known as the full moon closest to the autumnal equinox, and we will welcome in the season of autumn. The spiraling out of summer is now the spiraling in of autumn. We are pulling all the parts of ourselves that the summer season of fire, vitality, and abundance asked of us, and now directing it deep down for the descent into the darker time of the year, the witch’s time of the year, as we work with shadow.

Aries, the first sign of the astrological wheel, is a fiery and youthful energy. The ram is a sign that embodies quick wit, impulsivity, creative energy, and courage. Aries asks us to have courage to take all we learned in summer, and begin digesting it to use as fuel for the darker part of the year. With the sun in Libra and the moon in Aries, we will be working with good allies for social justice work; the courage and fire needed to balance the scales of justice.

This month, we call on the sacred medicine of yarrow. Yarrow is a plentiful PNW native, and is often known as a plant that guards thresholds and boundaries, and good medicine for channeling and psychic protection. Yarrow, or Achillea millefolium, has deep ties to the legend of Achilles, used by warriors and healers for physical and soul wounding, holding the line, and creating boundaries and defenses. Ritual location address is a private residence and will be sent out the day before, in the reminder area (SE Hawthorne area).
